I created my final production cover, contents page and double page spread and pitched it to my focus group to see if there were any small details they wanted changing or editing.

My focus group picked out on some small issues they wanted me to alter:

Contents:
  • Make the image bigger to fill the white space
  • Make the masthead smaller as it overshadowed the image
Contents:
  • Align the images on the right and have them the same shape and size as the arms and text created the curving line and having a straight line of images would contrast this well and look more uniform
  • Make the page numbers higher as the magazine appears to be very short
Double Page Spread:
  • Add a page number to make it easily identifiable

Rolling Stone is an American "indie-rock" magazine published bi-weekly and it has been in production since 1967. Not only does the magazine focus on music, it also often features references to popular culture and politics. Their target audience seems to be anyone with an interest in music, regardless of age, this is mostly due to the wide range of genres and day to day issues the magazine advertises on its covers ranging from politics to fashion. This cover features artist Lorde and is set on a blank white background with the rolling stone signature red, white and black colour scheme , the photo of the is artist slightly right from the centre . School Magazine Research

Front Covers This front cover is titled "Wilmo Weekly" it uses a single photo of a student writing in medium close up. The photo is taken slightly to the left and the subject is facing down towards the book. There is little text used across the cover. The name of the magazine is placed on the left hand side at the top of the page, it remains at the foreground of the cover and isn't obstructed by the image in any way. The text used is bold and the letter W is put on a blue background. The text has a design running across it and is written in two colours. The other text on the page is placed down the left hand side and details the contents of the magazine. The text is written in all capitals and uses three different colours, red, white and purple, in two different sizes alongside a line reading "strip away stress" in the same font but in blue running across the bottom. Canon EOS 750D Camera Research

The Canon EOS 750D is the camera I have chosen to take my final production photographs with, it is capable of taking high quality photos and is a camera made for those with little experience such as myself. In order to fully understand how to work it to it's highest standard I have done some research on it's specifications. The camera is a DSLR of 24.7 megapixels with a wide sensitivity range of 100-12800 and a shutter speed of 1-4000s. To use the camera properly I looked into changing the shutter speed, aperture and ISO and researched the different pre set modes for taking different photos. Shutter Speed - This is the length of time the shutter is open and exposed to light when taking a photograph, it can be altered by turning the mode dial to "M" and selecting the shutter speed options ISO - The ISO measures the sensitivity of an image sensor, the lower the ISO the less sensitive the camera is to light and the finer the grain.
